Sacred Mountain

We did it.

We earned the right to climb the mountain, to view the panorama below and to receive the gift she has to give.

While everybody has access to the mountain, few have the courage to climb it.

After completing the six modules, after we have thrown out psychological trash, and filled out pack with fresh supplies for the journey, Sacred Mountain looms ahead.

We stand awestruck gazing at the mountain, and then we notice something moving. A little deer is tiptoeing her way through the forest and about to enter the alpine meadow.

Little deer stops, her flesh quivering, ears twitching.

With a great crashing of underbrush, and a deafening scream a monster rushes from the braken.

Deer holds her ground.

The monster begins hurling insults at deer, fear, discouragement, anxiety, and belief that she is small and insignificant, but she ignores him and continues mincing her delicate way past him and into the meadow.

The monster sees that he has lost control, and that Sacred Mountain belongs to her.

While everybody has access to the mountain, few have the courage to climb it. Mountain knows this, and thus waits until the person has arrived with a giving heart, and a free spirit.

Mountain doesn’t release her gifts indiscriminately, she wants to know that it, her gift, will be used, honored and appreciated.

Mountain knows that without self-acceptance, all the self-improvement courses will be wasted. And so, that is her gift to you.

Mountain knows that winds will come, and the rabble of the marketplace will scream in your ears. So, she gives you tools.

Her tools are to arm you so that you have the self-confidence to go into the marketplace as a transformed self-aware person. 

She suggests adding these items to your psychological backpack.

Meditation

Eight weeks of meditation will increase the size of your hippocampus, and it will lower your blood pressure.

Prayer is talking to God.  Meditation is God talking to you.

Sit quietly, focus your mind on a word. One suggestion, use, the word, “Sing.” Thoughts will come in, allow them they due, and thank them for sharing and to move on their way. You are quieting your mind.

Breathe in counting 1,2,3,4,5, hold, 1,2,3,4,5,6, exhale slowly 1,2,3,4,5,6,7.

You just meditated.

Don’t you feel better?

Move your body.

Get outside in Natural light.

Use affirmations.

Trust yourself.

Eat when you are hungry, rest when you are tired.

Forget how old you are.

Don’t compare yourself to others.

What did you ask for when you began this course?

Imagine it.

Envision it.

Now run with it.

Have I fed you pie in the sky?

No.

It works if you work it.

Think of the Sacred Mountain. Her snow-pack melts come spring and little rivulets trickle down her barren slopes watering the alpine meadow below where grasses spring up to feed the wildlife. 

Flowers dot the landscape, and looking upon it you feel alive, and nourished, and you are.

It is your place of stillness, of calm, and where you feel at-one-with the creator.

There on the Mountain you are invincible
